This is a model of what one person wanted. It was...
crafted with cardboard, tape, scissors, and a piece...
of furniture from a dollhouse. The pencil is just for scale. To the right is...
...the actual item, a "toilet bench" by: www.VersAbleDesigns.com (used to be AccessAbleDesigns)
A toilet bench in a residence. The bench is the same height (25") as the person's scooter's seat. The grab-bar is custom-made for the site. Slide on!
...the bench attaches to the toilet, via a metal plate. (No drilling into the wall or the floor.)
Not enough grab-bars? The solution here is to use the scooter itself as a grab-bar, once the driver is on the toilet. The footstool easily relocates.
The above item is called a DRESSING BENCH. But the toilet bench can also function as a "dressing bench." For that, the scooter gets parked a few inches from the toilet bench, leaving a gap so that the person can pull on/off pants while they rock to left/right as needed to move clothing.
A portable SHOWER/TUB BENCH. This one is by Vers Able Designs.

"Delta adjustable tub and shower chair." Such models can be great to find in a motel's accessible bathroom, whether the shower is "roll in" or "tub" style. Image from: homedepot.com
"Carousel" brand sliding bench with swivel seat. This seat is padded and has swivel arms too. Slide into the shower!

A HOME SHOWER STALL with permanently raised seat. 1. Faucets are located close to bench, easily reached; and 2. feet & seat are both elevated, to match the height of scooter for the person sliding on/off.
Another HOME SHOWER. This seat is elevated temporarily with the smooth wood platform. When not needed, it is lifted off.
The gray permanent flip-down seat is always there ready to be used, with or without the wood addition.
Another view of the temporarily raised-height seat in a HOME SHOWER. An able-bodied person simply sets aside the wood platforms.
home shower were too far away. The bather could not reach the levers while sitting on the built-in shower bench.
adjust the water as needed by turning the white plastic handle...instead of leaning so far forward on the stationary bench.
(An invention from Europe?) functions as both a toilet and a bidet. Some models have handlebars.
leaves space for a person's legs to fit under it. The person can sit close enough to wash hands and spit out toothpaste.
