If you can slide ONTO a chair, but you cannot stand up to get OFF it, what do you do? One option: use a "barbershop chair." Get someone to pump it up to the height you need in order to slide down off it -- back onto your scooter.
In the photo to the left, the silver "pump her up" bar is not very visible. But it's there! The seat raises pneumatically when another person pumps the silver bar by foot.
